Financial Conduct Authority picks Stratford over Canary Wharf for new HQ
The Financial Conduct Authority have just been handed the keys to new headquarters in Stratford.
Almost 4,000 staff will be moving from a building in Canary Wharf to 15 storeys near the Olympic Park.
They’ve been in the current location since the 1990s.
Georgina Philippou, chief operating officer at the FCA, said: “This is an exciting time for the FCA as we move into our new purpose-built headquarters. Our modern offices will bring all London staff under one roof for the first time and offer a mix of excellent facilities, value for money, sustainability and the right infrastructure to meet our future needs. We look forward to settling in and playing a part in our new local community.”
The International Quarter London building, which is a joint venture between Lendlease and LCR, covers a 22 acre site and is part of Stratford’s regeneration programme. FCA staff are expected to move in over the summer.
